The Chesapeake Pony Club was founded in 1959, by Hamilton P. Fox, Calvin Adkins, and Bob Williams. The Club
grounds were and still are located at Hamilton Fox's house on Nanticoke Road in Salisbury, Maryland.
The club would hold mounted meetings every other weekend, working on all disciplines. The Chesapeake Pony Club was
one of the very first clubs to make up the Delmarva Region. Origanally, the Chesapeake Pony Club consisted of
children from Salisbury, MD.
Now, the Chesapeake Pony Club
is still going strong. The Club has children range from 8 years old to students in college. Instead of just
having kids just in the local Salisbury area, we have children in Va, De, and Pa
For years the Chesapeake Pony
Club has sent kids to the national rally and have been fortunate to have kids on the International Teams. We have also
had kids graduate at the A level.
The club has had its
ups and downs, but now has many new young children who will bring a whole new wave of fun to our club.
